4 Managers Join NMC Team

Northwestern Medical Center is pleased to announce the addition of four individuals to the NMC Management Team: Brenda LaBreck of Swanton, Sidney Phelps of Enosburg Falls, Dennis Boucher of Georgia, and Sarah Rumsby of Bedford, Quebec.

Brenda LaBreck, RHIT, joined the management team on November 2nd as the hospital’s Health Information Manager/Privacy Officer. LaBreck brings a number of years of Health Information Management experience, including experience implementing an electronic health record. She has spent substantially her whole HIM career working in the northeast, and most recently worked at Speare Memorial Hospital in New Hampshire.

Sidney Phelps has been with NMC for over a year in a consulting role through MBA Healthgroup, but has transitioned to becoming a permanent member of the management team as the Physician Services Manager. Prior to joining NMC permanently, Phelps has served as a Senior Practice Management consultant and a Billing Service Manager through MBA. She also has 10 years prior experience with HealthSouth Corporation, including as Assistant Administrator at the HealthSouth Surgical Hospital in Austin, TX.

Dennis Boucher has recently joined the Management Team as the Information Technology Team Leader. Boucher has been with NMC for since February of 2004 as the Systems Analyst/PACS Coordinator, responsible for many PACS related projects. He has also been involved in the development of our electronic health record exchange with the State of Vermont’s VITL project, which delivers electronic lab results to more than 50 local doctors. In his new role, Boucher will oversee daily operations and develop formal project management processes to transform the IT department into a more clinically focused service provider.

Sarah Rumsby, RN, has been employed at NMC since 2002. She currently serves as an Intensive Care Unit Charge Nurse, and has also recently joined the NMC Management Team as a per diem Shift Administrator. Rumsby’s role as shift administrator is to provide administrative support for all hospital activities, ensuring that the appropriate staff and resources are in place to manage patient care.
