The Women's Race Rape Crisis Center (WRCC) recently presented their annual Ally Award to HowardCenter Developmental Services. The award honors an individual or organization involved in preventing domestic and sexual violence. For the past year, HowardCenter employees Leah MacCarthy and Kay Bozich-Owens have been working with the WRCC to develop a program to support individuals with a developmental disability who experience sexual violence. The collaborative effort was made possible through a grant awarded to The Network Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, a coalition of 15 local domestic and sexual violence programs around the state.
