Vermont Woodlands & UVM Extension to offer Succession Planning Workshops For Landowners. Registration Deadlines: Monday May 4; and Wednesday, May 27
If you own and care for woodland, the fate of your land is probably important to you. You hope that future generations will benefit from your efforts. But hope is not a plan. Preserving your legacy requires planning, and that involves more than just having a will or an estate plan. You are invited by the Vermont Woodlands Association and UVM Extension to attend a 6-hour workshop that will be offered on three different dates at the following three locations: Saturday, May 9 at Franklin Conference Center, Rutland; or Tuesday, June 2 at Lake Morey Inn, Fairlee. This workshop is a mix of presentation and practical exercises that will give you the knowledge and tools to start succession planning. You will: clarify your values and goals; learn the steps to successful planning; get tools to support your planning; and learn about legal options that can support your plan.
The workshop will run from 9am to 3:00pm (Registration begins at 8:30am) and cost $35. Each additional family member is $20. The fee includes morning coffee and lunch; plus one copy per family of Ties to the Land succession planning workbook and planning binder with worksheets. Registration Deadlines: Monday May 4; and Wednesday, May 27
Complete registration form with desired workshop you would like to attend and return with your payment by deadline above to Vermont Woodlands Association, PO Box 6004, Rutland, VT 05702-6004.
