March 6th Meeting of the Vermont Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens Advisory Panel Federal Nuclear Waste Policy Committee

March 6th Meeting of the Vermont Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens Advisory Panel Federal Nuclear Waste Policy Committee Announced; Two Legal Experts Will Discuss Distinct Interpretations of Current US Law as Expressed Primarily in the Nuclear Waste Policy Act (NWPA) of 1982 and its 1986 Amendments.  Changes to NWPA have been proposed in the past several US Congresses and are expected to be reintroduced in the current Congress. 

The Federal Nuclear Waste Policy (FNWP) Committee of the Vermont Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens Advisory Panel (VT NDCAP) will hold its first meeting of 2023 on Monday, March 6, 2023, from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM.  As permitted by ACT 1 of the 2023 Vermont Legislature, this meeting will be conducted solely as a webcast and teleconference.

The March 6th FWNP Committee meeting is scheduled to run for 2 hours.  While there will be opportunity for public comments during two questions and answer periods, each period will be limited to 20 minutes to assure that both expert speakers have sufficient time for their discussions.  Details of the meeting format are available in the following meeting agenda:
