SBA: Register today for veterans small business workshop Nov 3

Vermont Business Magazine In recognition of National Veterans Small Business Week, please join the Center for Women & Enterprise and the Small Business Administration for a small business workshop for Veterans at 11 a.m. Nov. 3 at the Langevin House, 593 Furnace Street, in Randolph, Vt. 

A panel discussion will feature Vermont veteran-owned business owners sharing their entrepreneurial journey, challenges and successes, and what resources they used to start and grow their businesses.

Panel will be facilitated by Kevin Morehouse from Vermont SBA District Office and Faye Longo, Community Navigator Pilot Program. 

Following the panel, attendees will have the opportunity to meet several of the Community Navigators throughout Vermont and hear how they have assisted small businesses. 

The Community Navigator Pilot Program is an American Rescue Plan initiative designed to reduce barriers that underrepresented and underserved entrepreneurs such a s Veterans often face accessing the programs they need to recover, grow, or start their businesses. 

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Veteran-owned businesses account for 6% of all businesses throughout the United States, with an estimated $947.7 billion in receipts, approximately 3.9 million employees, and about $177.7 billion in annual payroll.
