Brattleboro – After taking a break for a few years, Brattleboro Savings & Loan is happy to bring back Community Appreciation Day on August 26th at our Main Street and Bondville branches, and August 31st for our Wilmington branch. It’s been an "interesting" couple of years, but now is the right time to reconnect as a community and nothing does that quite like food and fun for all.
We want to invite each and all of you to come and celebrate the amazing communities that we serve here in Southeastern Vermont. At the main branch starting at 11am and going until around 2pm, we’ll have hamburgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, salads, and other cookout standards on our front lawn. Our Putney Road branch will join their festivities with the Main Street branch on the front lawn. If you want something sweet, our Bondville branch will be handing out ice cream from 11am to 2pm.
On August 31st, we’ll have Vermont Gelato at our Wilmington branch, from 11am to 1:45pm. “It’s just an opportunity to bring people together outside and enjoy some hospitality and fun,” said Dan Yates, President of BS&L. “We’re a community bank and this is one of the ways we want to celebrate all that means.”
To help us celebrate, we’ll have WTSA doing a live broadcast from Main Street and local vendors are providing food to help make it a true community event, including: Brattleboro Coop, Hannaford, A Bite to Eat, Leader Distribution, Gouger’s Market, Cota and Cota, Rentals Plus, and Vermont Gelato. Any leftovers will go right to the folks at Brigid’s Kitchen and Groundworks Collaborative to further give back to our community. All are invited to join us in celebrating our communities.
