Lawson’s Finest Liquids Powers 2022 Rooted Vermont Bicycle Race July 29-31

Cyclists set to conquer 86-Mile “Sip of Sunshine Course” and its 48-Mile Counterpart “Little Sip Course” July 29-31

Waitsfield, VT. - Lawson’s Finest Liquids is set to ride alongside and support Rooted Vermont cyclists in a sold-out trek across the Green Mountain State July 29th-31st. 1,000 cyclists from 42 states and eight countries will be taking on the 86-mile “Sip of Sunshine Course” or its 48-mile counterpart, the “Little Sip Course” during the gravel road race. As one of the main sponsors of this year’s event, Lawson’s Finest Liquids employees will be participating in the race and cheering riders on at their aid station along the riders’ journey.

Rooted Vermont brings together gravel roads, adventure and community while celebrating many of Lawson’s Finest Liquids’ shared values. Rooted Vermont operates under "Mullet Protocol: Business in the Front, Party in the Back", fostering both an elite level race and welcoming atmosphere for all riders. The event is the first gravel race to achieve 50% female participation among registered riders. Much of that success is thanks to three years of offering a gravel skills clinic that has been an access point to gravel for over 300 women.

“Rooted Vermont celebrates so much of what we’re all about at Lawson’s Finest Liquids: community, fun, and inclusivity.” said Katie Butler, Lawson’s Finest Liquids Regional Sales Manager, Vermont and a past recipient of the Rooted Mullet Protocol Award

“Lawson’s Finest Liquids is a quintessential Vermont business that is always supportive of their local communities,” said Laura King, co-founder and partner of Rooted Vermont. “Having Lawson’s Finest on board as a sponsor and partner of this year’s race is perfectly aligned with the race itself and what our riders expect from Rooted Vermont.”

Beginning in Richmond, The Sip of Sunshine Course spans 86 miles, with 8,000 feet of climbing and featuring four short sections of class-four jeep roads or Vermont pave totaling five miles, with scenic views throughout.

Also starting in Richmond, the Little Sip Course spans 48 miles, with 4,000 feet of climbing and a short class four section before joining up with the same roads as the Sip of Sunshine course before the finish line. A video preview of both courses can be found at this link.

Each Rooted Vermont course ends at the base of Cochran’s ski area, where riders can celebrate their accomplishment with a purely Vermont summer party including tasty local food, Lawson’s Finest beers, maple creemees and more.
