NORTHFIELD, Vt. — Norwich University will host its 3rd annual “CSI Experience” on April 6 to April 7 on campus, in which interdisciplinary student teams work to solve real-life problems through seven distinct challenges crafted and mentored by experts in those fields for scholarship prize money.
Challenge rooms are staffed by Norwich University professors and each team is paired with an alumni mentor.
Up to 10 student teams composed of six participants will have 20 minutes in each themed room run by a different discipline solving a unique problem related to the crime earning points for creativity, exceptional teamwork, leadership and for including students from different majors.
The activity begins April 6 with the presentation of the crime and distribution of schedules during an opening reception from 6 to 8 p.m. with mentors and teams. From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 7, teams will rotate through seven different themed rooms to solve a specific problem related to the crime within 20 minutes with points awarded in each room.
Teams compete for a grand prize of a $3,000 scholarship per student from the Financial Aid Office for the 2022-23 academic year. Graduating seniors will receive Graduation Day perks and bonuses.
