Women Business Leaders Conference featuring Women of Color Business Summit Oct 13, 14

The Center for Women & Enterprise Bringing Together Women Entrepreneurs and

Business Leaders from All Over New England for Virtual Two-day Conference

The Center for Women & Enterprise (CWE) is hosting its

annual Women Business Leaders Conference featuring the Women of Color

Business Summit on October 13 and 14, 2021. The conference will be brought to

participants virtually, allowing women business leaders, owners,

entrepreneurs, community leaders, supplier diversity teams, and purchasing

professionals to join in from all over New England and beyond.

Headlined by keynote speakers Erin Baumgartner, CEO and Co-Founder of Family

Dinner; and Janice Bryant Howroyd, Founder and CEO of ActOne Group, the

conference offers workshops, round tables, and panel discussions led by

experts in a variety of fields. Topics center around business building and

scaling, financial literacy, personal journey, marketing, self-care, growth,

and more.

Of note this year is the Women of Color Business Summit, which takes place on

day two (October 14) of the Women Business Leaders conference and was

established to focus on the development, success, and highlights of women of

color entrepreneurs and business leaders, who have been most impacted by the

economic fallout and “she-cession” wrought by COVID-19. The summit

provides a space and opportunity to address the unique challenges, concerns,

and issues facing one of today’s fastest-growing--yet least

supported--groups of entrepreneurs and business leaders.

The ultimate goal of the Women Business Leaders Conference featuring the

Women of Color Business Summit is to leave attendees with expanded networks

and practical tools to help them succeed in their business endeavors and

strengthen their communities.

About the Center for Women & Enterprise

Established in 1995, the Center for Women & Enterprise (CWE) is a nonprofit

organization that empowers women to launch and grow their business – so

they in turn can drive economic growth, lift up their communities, and create

a more equitable world.  CWE also operates the Veterans Business Outreach

Center of New England (VBOC of NE) that equips veteran and active-duty

service members and their families with the resources to help them start and

run their businesses.

As New England's leading organization for women entrepreneurs, we work hard

to ensure that all women, regardless of their economic status, are provided

access to our programs and services. CWE offers scholarships to disadvantaged

clients while fostering influential relationships for successful

businesswomen at the other end of the financial spectrum.

The Center for Women & Enterprise provides education, training, resources and

connections to women through Centers in Boston, MA; Westborough, MA;

Manchester, NH; Providence, RI; Burlington, VT; and Community Classrooms

throughout New England.

In addition, CWE is the New England affiliate for Women's Business Enterprise

National Council (WBENC), serving as their certification arm for women-owned

businesses. WBENC Certification is nationally recognized in helping

established women business owners access new corporate contracts with

organizations that are actively seeking supplier diversity.
