Contractors in DoD supply chains are required to have adequate information security measures in place.   For those handling technical information, these measures currently include NIST SP 800-171 compliance.  Beginning in 2020, a new, auditable requirement called the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) has being introduced.   CMMC applies to all companies with defense contracts - even those not handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).

In this 1-hour webinar, you will learn which level of maturity will most likely apply to your company, key requirements for Levels 1 & 3, some considerations for costs of CMMC certification and some practical steps and resources to help you get started.

This webinar is presented by VMEC and the New England Regional Defense Industry Collaborative (NERDIC). NERDIC is a partnership of the state economic development organizations of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont, working to support Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) that provide parts and assemblies to Tier One providers working with the U.S. Department of Defense. NERDIC has financial support from the Office of Economic Adjustment (OEA), US Department of Defense (DoD). The content reflects the views of the New England Collaborative and does not necessarily reflect the views of the Office of Economic Adjustment, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the participating states.
