Stroll presents Get the Word Out Nonprofit Showcase, Jan 3

BRATTLEBORO, VT – During January's Gallery Walk, come to the River Garden (157 Main Street Brattleboro, VT) to warm your spirits at Strolling of the Heifers' sixth annual Get the Word Out Nonprofit Showcase!  Meet representatives of local non-profits. Discover what the organizations do, how to obtain services from them, how to participate in their programs, and how to volunteer.

“Nonprofit organizations are an essential piece to our quality of life in our local community due to the valuable programs they provide local citizens and the positive economic impact they bring to our local communities”, said Orly Munzing, Founder of the Stroll.

Strolling of the Heifers’ General Manager Anne Latchis said “You would be hard pressed to find anyone who has not been touched in some way by a nonprofit organization, whether they knew it or not.”

River Garden Coordinator Vicki Friedman said, “Working with many local nonprofits, I see that they are doing something about the social issues many of us care about but don’t know how or where to start to affect change.”

This free event takes place from 5:30 to 8:30 pm on Friday, January 3. Gallery at the Garden will also be displaying artistic quilts by Carlene Raper.
