Co.Starters Entrepreneurship Talk Oct. 3 at Do North Coworking Oct 3

LYNDONVILLE, VERMONT — A discussion about business law Oct. 3 will be the next presentation in the Co.Starters Speaker Series of entrepreneurship talks this fall at Do North Coworking.

Shannon Lenzini and Mary Parent, lawyers with Downs Rachlin Martin law firm in St. Johnsbury, will discuss business structures, hiring, licenses, intellectual property and other issues at 7:30 p.m. at Do North Coworking at 930 Broad St. in Lyndonville.

All talks are free for the public.

Do North Coworking, an economic development initiative of Northern Vermont University’s Lyndon campus, provides space and business services for member entrepreneurs and remote workers, as well as amenities for drop-in users.

Do North Coworking’s Co.Starters initiative is part of a national program to help new and aspiring entrepreneurs explore and test their ideas to build profitable businesses.

The other talks in the Co.Starters Speaker Series are:

  • Oct. 10 — “Discovering the Bottom Line,” the costs of launching a business, Jen Kimmich, co-founder and CEO of Alchemist Brewery in Stowe
  • Oct. 17 — “Accounting for Growth,” sales projections and cash flow, Rich Lyons, chief financial officer with Passumpsic Bank 
  • Oct. 24 — “Life After Co.Starters,” creating goals and growth plans, Ezra Ranz-Schleifer, local entrepreneur and maker

Do North Coworking opened in November 2018 and has dozens of regular members in addition to daily drop-in users. The coworking space also offers monthly technology-focused meetups that are free for the public and occasional hackathons, at which participants find ways to address community challenges.
