Governor Scott and Attorney General Donovan will join a team of AARP callers Oct. 1 at the Hilton Hotel to reach hundreds of Vermonters and warn them of common scams happening in Vermont and how to protect themselves and their families. Using a typical tactic of scammers themselves, AARP Vermont has set up a mock boiler room call center with banks of phones to call out to Vermonters. A robo call will also go out to thousands of Vermonters with a message from Gov. Scott on scam prevention.
