A Holistic Vision of Wellness: The Red Panda Nepali, Indian, Indo-Chinese Restaurant Grand Opening July 23

Pastor Dan Rout and a small group of his fellow Nepali community members have a vision of holistic wellness that they want to share with their fellow Vermonters.  A vehicle for that vision will be the The Red Panda Nepali, Indian, Indo-Chinese Restaurant, located at 161 Church Street in downtown Burlington.  Pastor Dan would like to introduce that vision at Red Panda's Grand Opening on Tuesday, July 23rd at 2:30.

Spices and other produce, from Dan's native Nepal, are grown in his "The Vine Nepali Community Garden" at his home in Essex.  This fresh produce will be prepared in the restaurant's kitchen by native experts in healthy and high energy Nepali cusine, which is known for being well balanced and healthy:  https://theculturetrip.com/asia/nepal/articles/nepalese-food-wholesome-h... Their spices, in particular are a well know source of health and energy: http://nepalrestaurant.co.uk/nepali-spices-and-their-health-benefits/  One group of Nepalis, who swear by the health benefits of these spices is the Sherpa: From Wikipedia

Sherpa is one of the ethnic groups native to the most mountainous regions of Nepal and the Himalayas.

Many Sherpa are highly regarded as elite mountaineers and experts in their local area. They were immeasurably valuable to early explorers of the Himalayan region, serving as guides at the extreme altitudes of the peaks and passes in the region, particularly for expeditions to climb Mount Everest. Today, the term is often used by foreigners to refer to almost any guide or climbing supporter hired for mountaineering expeditions in the Himalayas, regardless of their ethnicity.  Because of this usage, the term has become a slang byword for a guide or mentor in other situations.  Sherpas are renowned in the international climbing and mountaineering community for their hardiness, expertise, and experience at very high altitudes.
