Part of national #StopTheBans day of action in response to wave of anti-choice bills
WHAT: Vermonters will assemble at the State House for a #StopTheBans rally in response to a wave of extreme abortion bans in other states. A diverse group of speakers will send the message that the assaults on abortion access in Alabama, Georgia, Missouri, and other states do not reflect Vermonters’ values. Vermonters will also call on Gov. Phil Scott, who is pro-choice, to sign H.57 into law.
WHO: Organizers of the event include Planned Parenthood Vermont Action Fund, ACLU of VT, Women’s March Vermont, #VOTEPROCHOICE (list in formation).
