NORTHFIELD, Vt. – Norwich University will host the LEAP: Sexual Misconduct Symposium on March 25, 2019, from 8 am to 5 pm in Milano Ballroom. This conference welcomes 100 attendees from 28 different higher education institutions and four county sexual assault prevention agencies. This is a sexual misconduct conference created with the intent to offer higher education administrators and community partners the opportunity to learn from leading experts at no cost through collaboration and access to community resources. In an ever-changing educational and regulatory setting, it is imperative that all institutions have access to the most up to date information and practices to ensure compassionate compliance.
Throughout the day topics will range from building an effective compliance program at colleges, campus threat assessment teams, Title IX Coordinator best practices, an in-depth stalking case study, and the effects of the proposed Title IX regulations on college campuses.

“LEAP: Leadership. Education. Advocacy. Prevention.” is a committee run by the DEI Office. The committee is made up of students, staff, faculty, and community partners with the goal of addressing campus climate and culture challenges on campus. The committee develops and implements prevention and awareness programming for the Norwich community while also serving as a voice and reporting arm for students.
