Looking for a way to have fun and learn how a business can be profitable, family-oriented, and environmentally friendly? On February 28th at the Bennington Museum, Badger’s co-CEO, Emily Schwerin-Whyte, will tell her story of leading a global company that is recognized for its unique company culture and family-oriented business practices. Emily’s story will also cover her own personal trials and victories and how she implements those lessons learned in her own life. The event is being organized by The Lightning Jar, and the organization is excited to have Emily share her experiences and demonstrate the benefits of implementing their company values of transparency and using business as a force for good in the world.
The talk by the co-CEO of Badger is not just for entrepreneurs and business leaders. There will be a networking session with cocktails and light fare prior to the Emily’s talk. Attendees are encouraged to bring friends and family and mingle with the community and business leaders. The discussion lead by Emily Schwerin-Whyte is part of the signature speaker series produced by The Lightning Jar, Bennington’s entrepreneurial hub and co-working space. The Lightning Jar’s speaker series has coordinated talks from leading entrepreneurs including Jen Kimmich of The Alchemist brewery and acclaimed Heady Topper beer, Alan Newman, serial entrepreneur whose companies have sold for more than $500 million, and Mary Powell of Green Mountain Power who is transforming electricity generation and distribution in Vermont. “We’re thrilled to have Emily as the next speaker in The Lightning Jar series because she will discuss how Badger balances success across dimensions. Bennington Museum doors will open at 5pm on Thursday February 28. Emily’s talk will begin around 5:45 pm, and will be followed by an open question and answer discussion.
