Meeting of the Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens Advisory Panel Jan 31

The Public Service Department has announced that the meeting of the Vermont Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens Advisory Panel (VT NDCAP) previously scheduled for January 24, 2019 in Vernon, VT has been postponed.  The postponement decision was made to avoid potentially hazardous travel conditions this evening for Panel members and members of the public driving from northern parts of the state.  The meeting has been rescheduled for Thursday, January 31, 2019, from 6:00 PM to 8:45 PM in the Vernon Elementary School Cafeteria / Auditorium, 381 Governor Hunt Road, Vernon, VT.

The complete agenda for the Thursday, January 31, 2019 meeting is unchanged from that set for January 24, 2019 and may be viewed at: https://publicservice.vermont.gov/content/final-agenda-1-24-2019.

The Panel will hear reports on the recent NRC and PUC rulings approving the sale of Vermont Yankee (VY) to NorthStar, as well as an update on recent Vermont Yankee (VY) decommissioning activities.  State Agency oversight roles, public reporting requirements, and public engagement opportunities during VY's decommissioning will be discussed.  The Panel will also finalize its 2018 Annual Report to the Vermont Legislature.
