Southwestern Vermont Medical Center Presents Cook & Taste a Healthier Holiday Event, Nov 14

Attendees will learn strategies for diabetes awareness and prevention.

Cooking and eating healthfully can be challenging, especially around the holidays. That’s why we’ve invited SVMC’s experts—Executive Chef Laura LaCroix, Registered Dietitian Kristin Irace, and Diabetes Educator Paula Haytko—to show you how. The best part: they will make a complete holiday meal, and you get to taste!

The event is called Cook & Taste a Healthier Holiday for Diabetes Awareness. It is free and open to all. The event is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at The HAYC3 Armory, 80 Church Street in Hoosick Falls.

Simple swaps will help attendees learn to cook in ways that prevent diabetes and many other diseases affected by diet. Door prizes will be awarded.

It is a free program; however, seating is limited, and attendees should call Ashley Jowett at 802-447-5019 or e-mail [email protected] to RSVP.
