2018 Governor’s Awards for Environmental Excellence, Aug 31

What:     On Friday, August 31,  the 2018 Governor’s Awards for Environmental Excellence* will be presented to the Village of Essex Junction, Global Foundries, Downstreet, Vermont Coffee Company and the Alchemist. Secretary of Natural Resources, Julie Moore and Commissioner of the Department of Environmental Conservation, Emily Boedecker will help celebrate with these organizations.

The Governor's Awards were established in 1993 to recognize the actions taken by Vermonters to conserve and protect natural resources, prevent pollution and promote environmental sustainability. Awards are given to projects that demonstrate a significant contribution to protecting the environment, conserving energy and reducing the production of greenhouse gases.

Who:     Governor Phil Scott, Secretary Julie Moore, Commissioner Emily Boedecker and awardees

Where: Vermont Coffee Company Café, 1197 Exchange Street #3, Middlebury, Vt.

When: Friday, August 31, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.

*The Governor will no longer be attending the Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence event in Middlebury, as previously scheduled.
