Nature Photography Working Woodlands Workshop in Woodstock at Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park
WOODSTOCK - Have you wanted to cultivate your nature photography skills? On Saturday, May 26th from 9:00am to 12:00pm, join Lisa Lacasse of the Quechee Area Camera Club at the Forest Center at Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park. This photography workshop will be geared toward anyone with a cell phone, a point-and-shoot camera, and/or an advanced DSLR camera. Learn how to see, create, and compose a photo and then go practice your new outlook on surrounding trails.
The 40-minute indoor portion of the program will begin with a slide show of Lisa’s images, then she will focus on the “Art of Seeing,” compositional elements, hints, and tips, and how to make your subject stand out. Then spend the remainder of the workshop exploring the trails and practicing your new skills with Lisa. If you want to learn more in the future, Lisa will be happy to work with you to improve your technical skills.

Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park’s Forest Center is located at 54 Elm St., Woodstock, VT 05091. Parking is available in the Billings Farm & Museum overflow lot, located across Route 4 from the Park on Old River Road. Follow the signs for the Forest Center or check in at the Visitor Center for a map. Those with limited mobility may contact the park at (802)457-3368 x222 to make plans to park at the Forest Center on the day of the event. Lisa Lacasse grew up in Hanover, NH and now resides in Quechee, VT. She is primarily a landscape and nature photographer, a lover of being outdoors, whether hiking, skiing, or kayaking. Her images evoke many emotions and are a reminder of how beautiful Vermont and her neighboring states are. Her loon images on her website were all taken from her kayak. In addition to wandering the nature trails of New England, she also spends time in Florida photographing birds and landscapes. Lisa also photographs families, children, and events. Lisa founded and runs the local camera club, Quechee Area Camera Club, and has co-led and assisted with several photography workshops in Vermont and Maine.
