An introduction to business ownership succession planning will be offered on Thursday, May 3 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Community Room of the
National Bank of Middlebury, 30 Main Street in Middlebury, VT.
In this seminar, attendees will learn the basics of how to choose a path for ownership succession in their business. Four different ways of selling a business will be examined:
- to an outsider
- to family members
- to managers
- to the larger group of employees
Presenters will be Tim Cope of NFP and Don Jamison from the Vermont Employee Ownership Center. ACEDC Board member Stephanie Pope, a third-generation dairy farmer from Bridport, will also share the story of her family's transition of ownership.
Attendance is limited to business owners and key managers. There is no cost for this event, but registration is required.
