GOVERNOR SCOTT, ADMINISTRATION, LEGISLATORS & COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO MARK VERMONT OPIOID OVERDOSE AWARENESS DAY
WHAT: Opioid Overdose Awareness Day
Governor Phil Scott, members of the Administration and the Opioid Coordination Council, legislators, family members of Vermonter’s who’ve died as a result of an opioid overdose, and members of the community will gather Wednesday for Vermont’s second annual Opioid Overdose Awareness Day. The event will be held at the State House on Wednesday April 11, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in the Cedar Creek Room of the Vermont State House.
Speakers will address the impact opioids have on the lives of families and loved ones, and work towards effective prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery supports. Informational materials covering prevention, harm reduction, treatment and recovery will be available for the public to learn more.
