The Caledonia County Fair will celebrate its 162nd season Aug. 23-27 at
Mountain View Park in Lyndonville.
Vermont's oldest fair features midway rides for all ages, livestock shows,
demolition derbies, live music, magic shows, World of Wonders Illusions &
Escape Artist shows, Bears of Paradise, pulling contests, Modern Times
Theater shows, champion chainsaw carver Josh Landry, Children's Tent
activities, exhibits, bingo, favorite fair food and more.
Daily highlights include the Mini-Horse Pull, ATV/UTV Racing (Wed., Aug. 23);
Farm Tractor Pull, Yoked Cattle Show, Power Wheels, Van and Team Demo Derby
(Thurs., Aug. 24); Dairy Cattle Show, Country Showdown, 4x4 Pull, Horse Pull
(3,300 lbs.), Kingdom All Star Band (Fri., Aug. 25); Gymkhana, Sheep and Goat
Show, Grand Cavalcade, Log Loader Competition, country singer Dylan Scott
(Sat., Aug. 26); Horse Show, Pig Scramble, Ox Pull (3,200 lbs.), and
Demolition Derby qualifying and finals (Sun., Aug. 27).
Unlimited rides and entertainment are included with daily admission: $30 per
vehicle for all legally seated passengers on Carload Wednesday and $17 per
person Thursday - Sunday. Admission for seniors on Thursday is $12.
Fair gates open at 4 pm Wednesday and 7 am Thursday - Sunday at 1 Fairground
Road. Midway hours are 4 to 11 pm Wednesday, 11 am to 11 pm Thursday -
Saturday, and 11 am to 9 pm Sunday.
