April Female Founders Speaker Series Features “The Arts” April 24

Vermont Center for Emerging Technologies (VCET) and Hotel Vermont are thrilled to announce that April’s event, “The Arts”,  will feature Natalie Miller, co-founder of Vermont Comedy Club, and Bess O’Brien, founder of Kingdom County Productions.

The event will be held Monday, April 24th, 5:30-7pm in beautiful Juniper Hall

at Hotel Vermont, 41 Cherry Street in downtown Burlington, VT. All are

welcome, but tickets are limited so interested parties are encouraged to act

fast.

The cost of each event in the series is $15 per person, and 100% of proceeds

benefit a local charity or nonprofit which has not yet been announced.

The first three events in the series featured Sarah DeGray of Rev Indoor

Cycling, Jovial King of Urban Moonshine, Corinne Prevot of Skida, Sascha

Mayer and Christine Dodson of Mamava, Allison Hooper of Vermont Creamery, and

Jen Kimmich of The Alchemist. Thanks to RETN, the official media sponsor for

the series, all previous events are both available for viewing.

January’s “Wellness Working” event raised nearly $1,000 for Vermont

Adaptive Ski and Sports, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that empowers all athletes

with disabilities year-round throughout the State of Vermont. February’s

“Design & Manufacturing” event raised over $1,000 for the Boys & Girls

Club of Burlington, which “works to save and change the lives of children

and teens, especially those who need us most, by providing them with a safe,

positive and engaging environment that prepares them to achieve GREAT

FUTURES.” Finally, March’s “Food & Beverage” event raised over $1,000

for the Good Food Truck, which “works to provide good, healthy meals to

food-insecure Vermonters who aren’t currently getting the help they

need.”
