ANNUAL HOLIDAY ST. ALBANS TRACTOR PARADE TO BE HELD FRIDAY, DEC. 9

FOOD DONATIONS WILL BE COLLECTED FOR NORTHWEST FAMILY FOODS

WHAT:  Farm tractors and machinery decorated for the season with holiday lights and more will make their way from the farm fields to Main Street in St. Albans for the 3rd annual tractor parade. Other family friendly activities include: meeting Santa and face painting — all at the St. Albans Cooperative Creamery. Non-perishable food donations will be collected for Northwest Family Foods, a food shelf program serving Franklin and Grand Isle Counties. 

WHO:    Adults and children of all ages (over 1,000 visitors expected).

Dairy farmers from Franklin County.                                    

WHEN:  Friday, December 9, 2016; 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

  • Parade will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the St. Albans Co-op on Federal Street, proceed up Lake Street, across Main Street, down Lower Newton Street, and end at the Co-op.

WHERE:  St. Albans Co-op: 138 Federal Street, St. Albans, VT

VISUALS:

  • Tractors with holiday lights and decorations, each dairy farmer will be introduced into the parade.
  • Interviews with farmers, organizers and general public.
  • Holiday tractors on display after the parade.

BACKGROUND:   

The third annual St. Albans Tractor Parade is sponsored by the St. Albans Co-op, local businesses, and the dairy farmers of Franklin County.

The St. Albans Cooperative Creamery is a member-governed dairy cooperative committed to providing service, stable markets and the greatest achievable return to our members by delivering the highest quality milk, milk products and services to our customers. The Cooperative provides active leadership in the dairy industry and political environment to benefit all dairy farmers.
