Women's Economic Opportunity Conference 6/4
The 20th annual Women's Economic Opportunity Conference is from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 4 at Vermont Technical College, 124 Admin Dr., in Randolph Center. This free event brings together hundreds of Vermont women to network and attend workshops to explore new careers, forge professional contacts, discover financial resources and get more from social media.
U.S. Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch is the keynote speaker. As a prosecutor, Lynch brought terrorists and cyber-criminals to justice, and fought tirelessly against violent crime and financial fraud. She has protected the rights of victims, prosecuted human traffickers and protected children.
It is presented by U.S. Sen. Patrick Leahy. Lunch is provided, along with pre-registered child care.

A government contracting certification webinar will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. May 25. The webinar will focus on the benefits of participating in the SBA’s three certification programs, the 8(a) Business Development Program, the Historically Underutilized Business Zone Program and the Women-Owned Small Business Program.
