Green Stormwater Infrastructure Student Symposium, March 30

The Vermont Green Infrastructure Collaborative is pleased to announce the inaugural Green Stormwater Infrastructure

Symposium. This one-day event will be held on Wednesday, March 30 from 1:00-6:30 PM in the Dudley H. Davis

Center at the University of Vermont. It will feature presentations from experts in the field of green stormwater

infrastructure, a student poster session, and a keynote address from John Todd, PhD, Ecological Designer and UVM

Professor Emeritus.

The purpose of this event is to excite students about the varied career paths related to green stormwater infrastructure

and to connect them with tangible examples of the work and the people who do it. There will also be an opportunity for

them to present their work, and to network with professionals in the field.

Dr. Todd has been a pioneer in the field of ecological design and engineering for nearly five decades. He is a Professor

Emeritus of Natural Resources at the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources. His early research on

the role of ecosystems for treating waste has influenced the emerging field of green stormwater and wastewater

technologies.
