Vermont PSD Meeting of the Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens Advisory Panel Jan 28
The Public Service Department today announced the next meeting of the Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens Advisory Panel will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the Multi-Purpose Room at Brattleboro Area Middle School on 109 Sunny Acres, Brattleboro, VT.
At the meeting the Panel will receive decommissioning updates from the State of Vermont and Entergy and a presentation on groundwater monitoring from Marjorie Gale, state geologist; Pat Parenteau, Professor of Law, Vermont Law School; Vermont State Rep. David Deen; George Desch, Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation; and Bill Irwin, Vermont Department of Health.
The Panel will also vote on an advisory opinion on the Certificate of Public Good for the second dry cask storage pad at the Vermont Yankee site and discuss the Panel’s Annual Report to the Governor and Vermont Legislature.
