Vermont Public Service Department Announces December 10, 2015 Meeting of the Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens Advisory Panel. Panel seeks written public input on Advisory Opinions.
The Public Service Department today announced the next meeting of the Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens Advisory Panel will be held on Thursday, December 10, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the Multipurpose Room at Brattleboro Area Middle School on 109 Sunny Acres (directly in back of the high school).
At the meeting the Panel will discuss the NRC’s recent request for public comment on the Notice of Advance Proposed Rulemaking regarding decommissioning and discuss and take action on an advisory opinion on the Certificate for Public Good for the second dry cask storage pad at the Vermont Yankee site.
The Panel is seeking written comments from the public on the CPG advisory opinion that will be discussed and voted on at the December 10th meeting and all other proposed draft opinions. Written comments may be emailed to the Panel at [email protected].
