Vermont Specialty Foods Announces Fall Meeting

Montpelier, VT – November 5 is the date of the Vermont specialty food fall meeting at the Windjammer Conference Center in South Burlington, VT.  Following up on another large gathering at the group’s annual meeting in June, the association has added its fourth annual fall meeting for members of the trade.

Preparing for Compliance: Preventive Controls for Human Food

The Food and Drug Administration has released new regulations to update the current good manufacturing practices. Companies are now required to establish and implement a food safety system that includes an analysis of hazards and the incorporation of risk-based preventive controls. In this presentations we will review which companies will be covered by and how companies can comply with these regulations. Please bring your smart phones/tablets/computers to participate in this interactive presentation.  Also information on how these new rules will apply to Vermont Health Department regulations going forward.
