LEDC October Workshop on innovative opportunities

LEDC PRESENTS WORKSHOP ON INNOVATION THAT REALLY MATTERS IN YOUR BUSINESS, FOR YOU AND FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS

“Innovation is the life blood of all small business.  If you want to survive you must innovate.”

Through this workshop attendees will learn how it’s possible to significantly increase the odds of success plus how to focus their organizations on the very important innovative opportunities that will really matter to their customers and help accelerate profitable growth. Interactive and very hands-on, the presenter will guide the group through a proven structured process to create and wrote motivating, actionable strategies to improve internal systems, grow new customers and deliver new products and services.  The process starts with an analysis of current revenue streams and very important problems that the enterprise is facing and then provides “stimulus” to stretch thinking about specific, innovative strategies for profitable growth.  Participants will be introduced to the Innovation Engineering Business Operating System that includes a set of powerful tools for creating “meaningfully unique” ideas.  Research shows that this system is six times more effective than traditional brainstorming when creating ideas.

If your business seems to be stuck in neutral, neither moving forward nor backward, this workshop will prove enlightening in showing you how to shift gears into high and get back on the freeway of successful growth.  The “Ahha” moments will come fast and furious and you will almost certainly leave with many ideas you will be able to put to immediate use in your business.

The workshop Presenter is Patricia Giavara, an employee of the Vermont Manufacturing Extension Center since 2003 and its Assistant Director since 2009.  She is a certified Innovation Engineering Black Belt, and has led VMEC’s Innovation and Growth Services efforts for the last six years and has over 21 years of additional experience in manufacturing.

The workshop will take place on October 21st from 9 am to noon in the Community Room at GMTCC.  The cost to attend is $49 and pre-registration is required.  Please visit www.vtsbdc.org and click on TRAINING to register and pre-pay on line or email or call Vicki Blanchard at [email protected] , 802-728-9101.  For more information call John Mandeville at 888-5640.
