Invitations are extended on a limited basis as there are only 100 seats available. We would appreciate your helping us extend an invitation to interested candidates.

We will be hosting a leader in national cyber security, Mark Mykityshyn, Ph.D. He will be offering his insight in an informal discussion on Saturday, August 8 at 9:00am

in the Main Dining Room of the Clubhouse. He will speak for 30-40 minutes and then engage in a Q&A with the audience.

Mark Mykityshyn, Ph.D. is currently serving as the Executive Chairman of Tangible Security, a cyber security firm in Columbia, Maryland.  His company serves both the federal government and commercial markets. He advises corporate leaders and those involved in governmental agencies charged with national defense and anti-terrorism. In addition to providing guidance on improving cyber security, his firm engages in "white-hat" hacking in gaining access to sensitive information despite existing protective measures.  Examples of this work will be discussed and they are fascinating and deeply disturbing.

Mark graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy, was commissioned in the U.S. Marine Corps, and served as a Naval Aviator. He earned his Doctorate in Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he researched information architectures that underlie complex dynamic systems. He also earned a Masters degree from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, and the degrees of Engineer and Master of Science in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Prior to his role at Tangible, Mark co-founded and managed three companies, including two investment firms. In his various roles, he has served as Managing Partner, CEO, Chairman, and Executive Chairman.  His service in the military as a Marine Corps officer and Naval Aviator included a tour of duty with the U.S. Navy "Blue Angels" Flight Demonstration Squadron.  His civilian participation in military affairs includes serving as the Chairman of the Board of Visitors of the U.S. Army War College, a member of the Naval Research Advisory Committee, and work on the Defense Science Board and the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board.  He also worked with NASA on the design of a Multifunction Electronic Display System (MEDS) that was implemented into the Space Shuttle fleet.  Dr. Mykityshyn is an adjunct Professor of the Practice at Georgetown University. His interests include business/public policy, strategic leadership, entrepreneurship and innovation.
