TD Bank to Donate up to $2,000 to Healing Winds
WHO: The local TD Bank's Penny Arcade will serve as a designated hub to support Healing Winds Vermont. This upcoming "Green Friday" we are inviting people to participate in a community coin counting event and fundraiser. TD will match up to $2,000 in coins counted and donate it to Healing Winds. With 500 Green Friday events planned through February 2016, this program promises to raise more than $1 million in support of local organizations.
WHAT: Healing Winds Vermont provides cancer patients going through treatment an opportunity to leave their worries behind and relax while sailing on beautiful Lake Champlain. The program provides cancer patients the opportunity to leave their stress and anxiety for a few hours with the ability to spend quality time with their family and caregivers. Healing Winds sailboat is in need of a new mainsail the funds raised would help pay for this new sail. Please join us for the coin counting and a check presentation along with the community and customers.
