Community College of Vermont will host two Community Partner Breakfasts in Rutland and Newport on August 7 and 12, 2015, respectively. CCV President Joyce Judy and CCV’s Business and Community Outreach Manager Michael Keogh will lead discussions with local business leaders and HR managers about the professional development, training and credentialing programs for employees available through CCV.
In a rural state such as Vermont it is imperative that business leaders and industry professionals learn about the opportunities available for improving employee performance and retention. CCV has developed a variety of new training programs to meet the needs of businesses and workers in the state, such as Microsoft training and credentialing, a new Certified Professional Technician program, and a suite of career readiness certifications. This breakfast is an opportunity for local workforce leaders to learn about these offerings and the best ways to partner directly with CCV on workforce training initiatives. Attendance is by invitation, though business owners and media are welcome to attend without invitation.
