Vermont entrepreneurs looking to expand or start a business have the opportunity to learn growth strategies during a series of three workshops hosted by SCORE Aug. 3, 10 and 17.
Each workshop is from 8 to 11 a.m. in the community room on the second floor at Community National Bank, 316 North Main St, in Barre, Vt. Montpelier SCORE belongs to a national, nonprofit organization dedicated to mentoring entrepreneurs and small business start-ups.
The marketing workshop Aug. 3 includes market research, building a brand, and launching a marketing campaign. It is led by Steve Larose, marketing consultant and SCORE volunteer mentor.
The financing workshop Aug. 10 includes lending requirements, loan processes and alternatives sources of capital. It is led by Vallerie Morse, Small Business Administration. Also participating are representatives from Community Capital of Vermont, Vermont Community Loan Fund, Community National Bank, and the VSJF Flexible Capital Fund.
The business plan workshop Aug. 17 covers the planning process, strategic objectives and the eight sections comprising a business plan. The workshop is led by Bertil Agell, SCORE.
