Second Annual Do Good Fest on July 18th To Benefit Cancer Patients

Day of Music, Food & Family Activities Supports Branches of Hope

Montpelier, Vermont – The second annual Do Good Fest takes place on Saturday from 3 to 9 p.m. and features the music of O.A.R.The Alternate RoutesPanama Wedding, and Patti Casey & Colin McCaffrey.

The Do Good Fest is presented by The Point Radio Network and National Life Group. Entry is free, but proceeds from parking fees will again benefit Branches of Hope, the cancer patient fund at Central Vermont Medical Center. Fees are $10 before 5 p.m. and $20 after.

“We’re excited to host a great lineup and even more thrilled that it will benefit patients who benefit from the peace of mind that Branches of Hope provides,” said Mehran Assadi, National Life Group president and CEO.

Branches of Hope provides assistance directly to patients who need helping paying bills or traveling to appointments, in addition to other aid, while they’re undergoing treatment.

This year’s Fest is expected to be even bigger and if the capacity is reached, signs will go up at the venue and it will be posted on the Do Good Fest website and social media.

The Do Good Fest is sponsored by National Life, The Point, Seven DaysMontpelier Alive and the National Life Group Foundation. The inaugural Do Good Fest last year raised nearly $11,000 for Branches of Hope.

The festival gets under way at 3 p.m. with children’s activities. Music from the main stage starts at 4. There will also be food trucks, a beer tent and a nonprofit village for area charitable organizations to share their messages.
