Do you know a retired person who inspires you to live well at every age, someone who is using their retirement to serve others, pursue a unique interest, create art or stay healthy?
Equinox Village and its community partners are pleased to open nominations for the Fourth Annual Exceptional Retiree Awards on February 13, 2015.
The ERAs honor Vermont seniors who are using their retirement in exemplary ways, to expand relationships, learn new things, and serve others. Through this program Equinox Village and its community partners wish to recognize individuals who are setting an example, and continuing to find personal and social fulfillment in their retirement years.
The awards are open to residents of Bennington, Rutland, Windsor and Windham Counties who are retired and over the age of 55. Categories include Excellence in the Arts, Excellence in Continued Scholarship, Excellence in Health & Wellness and Excellence in Service & Community Leadership.
Each nomination is read and rated by three judges. Judges look for an individual’s ability to inspire others toward vibrant and productive older age. Nominations open officially on Friday, February 13, 2015. Winners will be recognized at an awards dinner and ceremony on May 29, 2015.
