Free digital marketing workshop for businesses starts tonight in Barre

Experts in email marketing, online video, and social media will share tips with Vermont small business owners and teach them how to use digital marketing effectively, in a series of three workshops beginning Jan. 21. The workshops are being sponsored by the SCORE Montpelier chapter.

“It’s critical for small business owners to learn how to use digital marketing, as consumers receive more and more of their information from online sources,” said Bertil Agell, SCORE district director. “These free workshops will help small businesses compete in the digital marketplace, and are ideal for anyone who is growing a small business or planning on starting a business.”

All three workshops will be held in the Milne Community Room at the Aldrich Public Library in Barre, Vt. The workshops are free and open to the public. Each workshop runs from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The series kicks off on January 21 with a session about email marketing. The speaker will be Kim Dixon, a consultant who manages marketing campaigns for many different types of companies. She is also a Constant Contact authorized and certified local expert. The series will cover how to use online videos to market products and services January. 28. The speaker will be Steve Larose, an independent video producer and media consultant.

The series concludes February 4 with a workshop on social media. The speaker will be Anahi Costa, a marketing professional who works with search engine optimization, search engine marketing, email, social media presence, and advertising.
