Designing a Closed Loop Campus: Carbon Flow on the Vermont Tech Campus

This year's Fall conference will focus on components of the carbon cycle on Vermont Tech's Randolph Center campus. It will include discussion of Big Bertha, VTC's biodigester, the campus's carbon foot print and food systems, and other renewable and sustainable practices conducted on site. The day's events will include tours of the facility and VTC's future visions for building more carbon conscious communities.

VEC Welcomes Jared Duval, Vermont Economic Development Director, as New Board Member

 

 

 

Jared Duval, a newly hired Economic Development Director in Vermont's Agency of Commerce and Community Development (ACCD), is VEC's newest Board member. In his work for the Department of Economic Development, Jared will be focusing on supporting four key sectors of the Vermont economy, all of which flow directly from the State's recently completedComprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). Those sectors are: Environmental Consulting, Green Business, and Green Building; Clean Energy, Energy Efficiency, and Electricity Innovation; Forest Products; and Food Systems. In coordination with the Regional Development Corporations, Jared will conduct visits to better understand and support businesses in these sectors.
