The Community College of Vermont is set to honor local veterans.
On Monday, Nov. 10, veterans will share their stories from World War II to present-day combat at the Community College of Vermont’s Winooski center from 7-9 p.m. in room 108.
During the week of Veterans’ Day, staff from CCV’s Winooski center will also continue their annual Yellow Ribbon project, when faculty, staff and students are encouraged to write notes of thanks or remembrance to veterans or service members in their communities on yellow paper ribbons. The ribbons are then hung in the windows for passersby to read and enjoy, and at the end of the week the ribbons will be collected and presented to local VFW posts and other organizations around the state.
CCV’s Winooski center is located at 1 Abenaki Way.
CCV is Vermont’s second largest college, serving over 7,000 students each semester. With 12 locations and extensive online learning options, our students don’t have to travel far from their communities to access our degree and certificate programs, workforce, secondary and continuing education opportunities, and academic and veterans support services.
