The Lemax Farm Barn [fund] Raising event on Saturday, September 27 from 3-5 in the afternoon. The event is in support of a community effort to restore the iconic yellow barns that are visible from the interstate and serve as the gateway to North Hartland.
The Friends of Lemax Farm committee, with the help of the Upper Valley Land Trust as their fiscal sponsor, is attempting to raise $40,000 by October 1st so we can qualify for a matching state barn grant. To date the committee has raised $30,000 and we are hoping the event will allow us to achieve the goal. The complete project overview can be found here: http://bit.ly/LemaxFarmProjectOverview
Attendees are invited to tour the barns, meet the Meacham family who run the farm, bid on items at the silent auction and enjoy lovely local food that has been donated from community businesses. There will be a short program at 4 pm (after the tours and before chores) to update everyone on the project.
