11th Annual Fire Truck Pull!
Back for an 11th year raising money for Outright Vermont's Work with LGBT Youth
Saturday, September 20th // Noon - 2:00PM
Burlington, VT - Outright Vermont's 11th Annual Fire Truck Pull, sponsored by Dealer.com, will happen Saturday, September 20th at noon on Church Street Marketplace in Burlington. The Fire Truck Pull is the biggest fundraiser of the year for Outright Vermont, the state's only organization dedicated to queer youth. Teams of 12 compete (in costume!) to see who can pull a fully loaded Burlington Fire Truck up Church St the fastest.
This year, teams include: Healthy Living, UVM's

Audience Favorites: The Queer Youth Team!
Greek Life, City Market, BAMO, and Dealer.com. Community teams include: Team Gaga, Talk Nerdy to Me, Outright Board and Friends, Camp Outright Staff and Outright Volunteers, and the Queer Youth Team.
Melissa Murray, Outright's Executive Director, says: "The Fire Truck Pull is our biggest annual fundraiser and we rely on our community to help keep our doors open. The Pull is a chance to be silly, look fabulous, and do an impossible thing (have you ever tried pulling a fire truck anywhere?) all while supporting queer youth. If you've never seen it, it's a must on the list of quintessential Vermont experiences!"
Celebrity judges, including Representative Jill Krowinski and VT Drag Idol Winner Nikki Champagne, will help award the coveted golden fire truck trophy to teams for most money raised, best costume, fastest pull time, and audience choice.
Members of the press are highly encouraged to attend. This is a very camera-friendly community event and it draws thousands of onlookers on Church Street.
