VTel, Vermont's independent telephone company, will celebrate the official launch of its statewide high-speed wireless network on July 1st at Atkins Field in Hardwick.
Everyone is invited to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony at 1:00 pm with distinguished guests Senator Bernie Sanders, Congressman Peter Welch, Governor Peter Shumlin, and Rural Utilities Service Administrator John Padalino.
Event highlights will include demonstrations of wireless services and fiber-to-the-home products. Refreshments from the Vermont Food Venture Center and the Hardwick Village Market will feature locally-produced food and beverages.
