COVID-19 cases set new record with 122, state surpasses 3000 total

Vermont Business Magazine The Vermont Department of Health reported another single-day record of COVID-19 cases with 122 cases statewide. The state also surpassed 3,000 total cases. Hospitalizations are up to 19, but there is only one person in the ICU and there are no new deaths, which are holding at 59. Washington and Orange Counties have seen significant case growth over the last two weeks. Much of the spike in outbreaks is caused by social gatherings, including Halloween parties, which led Governor Scott on Friday to order that all non-household gatherings to cease. He also closed bars but not restaurants or retail operations.

All data are compiled by the Vermont Department of Health, and are preliminary and subject to change. To allow time for analysts to verify an increasing volume of data, the dashboard will be updated no later than 12:00 p.m.. Case information reflects counts as of end of the previous day.
