On October 14th, SCORE Vermont will be hosting a virtual panel discussion on business planning in the context of COVID-19. Topics will include business plans, marketing and pricing, plus small business owners will share experiences on how their businesses have changed and adapted. Online registration is required for the 5:30pm to 7pm webinar.
Grants for Cultural Organizations Still Available
The Vermont Arts Council is accepting applications for grants to provide economic support to cultural organizations in Vermont that have suffered economic losses due to the COVID-19 public health emergency. New expanded eligibility now allows arts and cultural organizations that operate under the umbrella of a college or university and unincorporated arts and cultural organizations to apply. Refer to the guidelines for complete instructions and eligibility requirements.
Participate in the 2020 Census
Recent court action has provided extra time to complete the 2020 Census, but to be sure your household is counted, please respond as soon as possible (and certainly by October 31st). Having an accurate count is key to the state’s ability to get Federal funding, and Vermont is lagging in the percentage of residents who have self-responded. We encourage you to complete your questionnaire and to ask your friends, family, and neighbors to do so as well.
Business Impact
