Vermont Business Magazine To support artists facing unprecedented challenges to their creative practices, the BCA Foundation announces the BCA Artist Relief Fund, accessible to Burlington’s creative individuals at this critical time. The guidelines for this fund are available online at www.burlingtoncityarts.org/bcarelief.
The BCA Artist Relief Fund provides grants of up to $500 to Burlington-based individual artists in need of additional financial assistance and artists who have lost income due to a COVID-19-related cancellation of a specific, scheduled arts opportunity between March 16 and June 30.
Funded artists are asked to contribute their creative talents to the Burlington community in the future.
“Burlington has been defined in large part by its creative community throughout the past several decades and we cannot imagine what this City would be like without their contributions to our creative lives and economy. Now more than ever, BCA is committed to ensuring Burlington’s artists and creative sector feel our support and the support of the community,” says BCA’s Executive Director Doreen Kraft.
The purpose of these funds is to support artists who need immediate help and encourage their future contributions to Burlington’s creative life.
These grants are designed to support as many artists as possible. Grant amounts range from $100-$500, are dependent upon existing funding, and will be awarded on a rolling basis until funds run out.
Community members who wish to donate to this fund and support as many Burlington artists as possible are encouraged to do so.
