Over the past several years Hubbardton Forge has experienced steady
growth and developed a reputation for quality and design excellence in the
lighting industry. 2002 has been a year dedicated to building a team to
manage the continuing growth and the resulting change that growth
inevitably brings. The team building is nearing completion, with the
appointments over the last six months of the following individuals to key
positions: Martin T. Quigley, Operations Manager; Terry
Carvalho-Vamvalis, Sales Manager; Dan Browdy, IT Manager; Rick Brunner,
Designer; and Cathy Van Yperen, Corporate Communications.
Martin Quigley, Operations Manager. Martin Quigley has a B.S. and a M.S.
in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University, and recently completed
his M.B.A. at Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of
Management in Cleveland, Ohio. Among his responsibilities at Hubbardton
Forge are manufacturing, engineering, and research and development.
Prior to relocating to Vermont, Martin held two plant management positions
with Precision Castparts Corporation, a global manufacturer of high-tech
metal castings for the aerospace and power industries. He has also
consulted for Deloitte & Touche Consulting Group for such clients as
Motorola, Eaton, and Lubrizol.
Terry Carvalho-Vamvalis, Sales Manager. Ms. Carvalho-Vamvalis has been
with Hubbardton Forge for three years and most recently held the position
of Sales Department Leader. She is a graduate of St. Rose College in
Albany, New York, and has had extensive sales experience in the printing
and software industry.
Dan Browdy, IT Manager. Dan is a graduate of Bates College and received
an M.S. in Communications from the State University of New York. He is
responsible for project planning and systems and software development at
Hubbardton Forge. Prior to joining The Forge, Dan worked at Country Home
Products and Ben & Jerry's.
Rick Brunner has joined the design team at Hubbardton Forge. He has a
degree in industrial design from the University of Cincinnati. Rick has
designed for the lighting industry, and also had extensive experience in
the toy industry, having created innovative concepts for such companies as
Hasbro, Ertl, and Tyco.
Cathy Van Yperen has taken on the responsibilities of Corporate
Communications at Hubbardton Forge. She has been with the company since
1994. Cathy is a graduate of Baylor University, and received an M.S.A.
degree from St. Michael's College.
Hubbardton Forge is a manufacturer of hand-forged wrought-iron lighting
and accessories, located in Castleton, VT.
