of Agriculture Steps Down
Governor
Praises Kerr’s Service

Montpelier,
Vt. – Steve Kerr, the
Secretary of the Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets today said he would be
moving on from the agency and thanked Governor Douglas for the opportunity to
serve.

Governor Douglas praised Secretary Kerr for his four years of service.
“These have been challenging times for Vermont’s farmers, and I appreciate
Steve’s leadership. I wish him well in his future endeavors.”

Kerr’s resignation is effective December 15, 2006. Deputy Secretary David Lane
will become Acting Secretary.
