Hospitality Council of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce salutes tourism industry

Welcome to National Tourism Week! This week the hospitality industry and communities across the nation celebrate travel to and within the United States.
Vermont Hospitality Council Vice President Vicky Tebbetts noted, "Vermont's hosts work around the clock to help make each visit to Vermont memorable. The travel and tourism industry provides substantial employment opportunities and generates considerable tax revenue for the state's general fund. Vermont hospitality workers are incredibly dedicated to Green Mountain State visitors and our robust tourism economy."
National Tourism Week, sponsored by the Travel Industry Association of America, increases awareness of the travel and tourism industry's economic, social, and cultural contributions to the United States.
The Vermont Hospitality Council, comprised of all of the tourism members of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, is Vermonts largest hospitality organization. Staff of the Vermont Hospitality Council of the Vermont Chamber will be on hand at the National Tourism Week reception tomorrow, May 17, at the Cedar Creek Room in the State House from Noon - 2 p.m. The public is invited to attend this event hosted by Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing Commissioner Bruce Hyde.
The mission of the Vermont Hospitality Council is to serve and to work in partnership with its diversity of members marketing travel to Vermont and advocating for hospitality related legislative priorities. The Vermont Hospitality Councils ultimate goal is to provide a memorable visitor experience, thereby stimulating the health of the tourism industry; to support jobs, and increase statewide tourism business profitability, resulting in the expansion of the overall Vermont economy.
